Neil Thurston is a vocalist and multi-instrumentalist. Born and raised in the SF Bay Area, Neil was immersed in a musically diverse environment from an early age; which has shown itself in his plethora of projects ranging from Rock and Blues to Electronic Music and Motown. While attending the University of Oregon School of Music and Dance, Neil became lead vocalist and a founding member of The Essentials, a 9-piece Soul/R&B group. Other projects include rock band Forget One Thing, Neo-Soul outfit Molasses, and serving as band director for the award-winning University of Oregon Gospel Singers.
